We're on hiatus ... but Skybird Shortwave will return in 2021 or 2022

Hello folks

After celebrating Free Radio Skybird's 10th anniversary, our humble radio project is taking a break --- nothing new for Skybird (sometimes the breaks have lasted years!). But we will be back making great radio on shortwave frequencies either later this year or in 2022. Thanks for listening ... many of the shows are archived at radio4all.net.  Simply search for "Skybird" and our programs will appear - all available for download.

Skybird

  Last year, I had the inclination to revise the name of Free Radio Skybird . I mean, technically it is not a "free radio" station, and to bring it more in sync with the original Skybird Radio created by Gary B. (may his memory be a blessing) I decided to shorten it to Skybird 21. Except things get busy and focus shifts, trying to survive a pandemic, full-time work, health issues and geo-cultural relocation to Coos County NH, so as of NOW I am renaming the project simply:                                                        Skybird . So we'll see when the next show is broadcast. No plans yet. Sometime in 2022 hopefully! CTRN Broadcast 1

  I've always been enamored of trains, even though trains were already scarce in Manchester NH as I was growing up. I lived across the river from the tracks and have zero memories of ever seeing a train travelling on those tracks. Regardless, my encounters with trains over the years (taking the Amtrak to Philadelphia once) have been wonderful.
