Gary Bourgois was the President and Program Director of SkyBird Radio, and humble host of “Friday Night Live” (FNL), the longest running technical talk show, having its roots in satellite radio since the early days of satellite broadcasting. Many longtime C Band Dish owners may remember Gary's quick wit and extensive knowledge of the satellite industry. Gary's FNL "News and Views" was considered the best satellite news coverage anywhere. Skybird

  Last year, I had the inclination to revise the name of Free Radio Skybird . I mean, technically it is not a "free radio" station, and to bring it more in sync with the original Skybird Radio created by Gary B. (may his memory be a blessing) I decided to shorten it to Skybird 21. Except things get busy and focus shifts, trying to survive a pandemic, full-time work, health issues and geo-cultural relocation to Coos County NH, so as of NOW I am renaming the project simply:                                                        Skybird . So we'll see when the next show is broadcast. No plans yet. Sometime in 2022 hopefully!   I've always been enamored of trains, even though trains were already scarce in Manchester NH as I was growing up. I lived across the river from the tracks and have zero memories of ever seeing a train travelling on those tracks. Regardless, my encounters with trains over the years (taking the Amtrak to Philadelphia once) have been wonderful.
